Hyacinth organises a riverside (riparian as she writes in the invitation letter) picnic, much to the despair of those around her invited. Despite Emmet's and the Vicar's best efforts to tell Hyacinth they are unable to attend, they find getting out of Hyacinth's function impossible. As always, Hyacinth's plans of perfection are shattered when a digger dumps dirt in her chosen location for the picnic.

Trivia[]

  • First proper appearance of Violet. We only saw her legs and heard her voice in Problems With Relatives.
  • The scene where Hyacinth and Richard get wet and the scene where Elizabeth reacts saying "Emmet, Look" occur at the same time. Immediately after both get wet, a soft "Emmet, Look" can be heard followed by the actual scene where she says that phrase. You can also notice reactions from Elizabeth and The Vicar in the background before and during Hyacinth getting wet.

Quotes[]

Hyacinth:  You're in a very funny mood today, Richard Bouquet.  I can hear you thinking again.

Richard:  And it's not Bouquet, it's Bucket.  It was always Bucket 'til I met you.
